VIDEO

Since I was a kid, the medium of video and filmmaking captivated me, I have a long portfolio of work going back all the way to those adolescent years. But in order to save you the burden of viewing horrible sketches my middle school self found humorous, enjoy this collection of "Trevor Hazell Best Hits"

Protovision (2017)

"Protovision" is my college thesis film and the culmination of my film school education. On this film I had the help of many wonderful people that aided in its success and helped slightly ease the stress of what still almost put me in an early grave. "Protovision" was my chance to exhibit my growth as a filmmaker and create something grand beyond any previous work I had done at school before. In many ways, "Protovision" exhibits much of myself as an artist, from my own life experiences with family to my love for video games and fantasy that have continued to influence my stories.

Unsought (2016)

"Unsought" was my second year final short film. It was largely made on my own seeing as it was a small, incredibly personal story I wanted to tell at the time. You could call it my sort of "David Lynch" moment if that weren't incredibly pretentious sounding. "Unsought" also was my first major foray into stop-motion animation, a medium that has always greatly inspired me. Also a medium that I won't soon be revisiting for the sake of my own sanity.

Sketch Video and More

The Wizard

If thought-provoking (nonsensical) storytelling is your cup of tea, then sink your teeth into "The Wizard," a genius (juvenile) short sketch that focuses on the duality of human nature (how a short sketch can create an awkward, unbearably long tension between two characters that ultimately goes no where.)

Man versus Self: A Literal Interpretation

In this short sketch, a younger, thinner, more attractive version of myself fights a duplicate younger, thinner, more attractive version of myself. If ever I needed a reminder of my boyish good looks now long gone, I definitely would want to look back at two of myself.
